The "Matching Program" pairs women over 19 with girls aged 5 to 16 for mentoring, support and friendship. Discovery Leadership is a 13-week group-based program developing leadership skills. Operation Smart offers an informal education program that uses hands-on, participatory activities in out-of-school settings. Media Literacy teaches girls to assess media messages with a critical eye. Child and Family Program provides services to parents of children aged 18 months to 12 years who attend childcare centres in North Halton. Good Beginnings is an early intervention treatment centre for the most at-risk babies where there are signs that the parent/child bond is at risk. Youth Aiding Youth addresses the need for children to experience positive role models, matching senior youth (ages 16 to 20) with junior youths (ages 6 to 12). Investment: $33,850
