The United Way of Milton Ontario, established in 1982, has a vision to lead in building a strong, healthy and inclusive community through collaboration with local individuals and organizations to raise resources and find solutions to the community's most pressing issues. Milton, as the fastest growing municipality in Canada, faces a unique set of challenges and opportunities for our United Way, as the demands on services escalate and potential for organizational growth increases.
The United Way of Milton is seeking a dynamic leader who is committed and passionate about the organization's vision and has the leadership skills to manage an organization that is about ‘Doing Something'. Reporting to a 12 member Board, you will be responsible for growing our annual campaign, developing and implementing the strategic plan, financial sustainability, carrying out advocacy, building community awareness and support, identifying new sources of funding, working with volunteers and program development, all toward achieving the organization's mission. You are a charismatic leader who is able to develop strong and respected relationships with the business community, possess strong advocacy skills, and are able to interact and influence at the highest level within the community.
This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to lead an organization whose focus is on growth and making a difference. The ideal candidate will have:

· Post secondary education in a related field
· Five years previous experience at a senior level in a not for profit organization or an acceptable equivalent.
· Demonstrated experience in organizing successful fundraising campaigns
· Certified Fundraising Professional Designation
· Experience working with and motivating volunteers
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Experience with social media, website management
· Open persuasive communication style and strong team work skills
